Rooted in Resilience – 12-Week Prison Programme

Rooted in Resilience is a structured 12-week trauma-informed group programme delivered within custodial settings for young men. The programme supports emotional awareness, identity development, responsibility, and long-term change.

It is designed for young people who have experienced:

• Trauma and loss

• Emotional neglect

• Identity confusion

• Anger and emotional dysregulation

• Disconnection from education and community

Programme themes include:

• Understanding trauma & survival responses

• Emotional regulation and anger awareness

• Identity, race, masculinity and self-worth

• Accountability, reflection and repair

• Hope, future planning and purpose

Sessions are relational, reflective, and culturally grounded — creating a rare space for emotional safety inside a system that rarely allows it.
